Paschal Dolpha ‘P. D.' Ash, 81, of Stephenville, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 3rd at Hillcrest Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. P. D. was born on April 27, 1934 in Desdemona to the late Johnny Calvin and Minnie Young Ash. He married Margaret Brown on June 28, 1953 in Duffau. P. D. was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ where he served as an elder, a position in which he served the Churches of Christ for over 50 years. He loved fishing, Stephenville High School football, and spending hours of his time with his grandchildren. P. D. worked over 42 years beginning as a lineman and retired as a safety coordinator with Erath County Electric (United Cooperative Services). He has lived in Stephenville since 1955. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; 2 sons, Jeffry Dale and wife DeAnn Ash of Cleburne, and Wendell Leon and wife Lynn Ash of Arlington; daughter, Cheryl Ann and husband Pat McIntosh of Cleburne; grandchildren, Phillip and wife Michelle McIntosh, Amanda McIntosh, Ashley McIntosh, Austin Ash, Abby and husband Ethan Adams, and Eden Ash; great grandchildren, Lex McIntosh and Ivan McIntosh; and a sister, Eula Jean and husband D. J. McConal of Stephenville. Besides his parents, P. D. was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
