Paul Bordner Anderson, 91, of Mineral Wells, died Sunday, June 27, 2021.

Visitation will be held Monday July 5th, 2021 from 10 AM-12 PM with funeral services following at 2 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home in Stephenville, TX.

Paul was born on March 11, 1930 in Erath County, TX to John and Mary Jane Bordner Anderson. He grew up in the Chalk Mountain area playing baseball and showing champion cattle. Paul married Joyce L. Stephens on October 28, 1951. Together, the two lived in England, Arizona, Alaska, Mississippi, and Puerto Rico while Paul served in the United States Air Force. After 23 years of service, Paul retired with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. After retirement, Paul finished a Bachelor’s degree in business and had another successful career as a teacher.

In 1957, He and Joyce were saved and became Christians. In 1959, they joined the Church of the Nazarene, and then devoted the rest of their lives to serving God and the church. Paul was an active member of every church he attended and made an impact for the Kingdom everywhere he went.

Paul is survived by a son, Randall and wife Joy Anderson of Mineral Wells; granddaughters, Melody and husband Aron Jones of Burleson, Rachel and husband Paul James of Lawton, Oklahoma, Amanda and husband Greg Sattler of Houston, and Grace Anderson of Mineral Wells; four great grandchildren, Nora and Tabitha Jones, and Charlotte and Wesley James; sister-in-law, Marilyn Anderson of Tucson, Arizona; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his parents, and wife, Joyce; Paul was also preceded in death by his second wife, Clara; son, Larry Anderson; brother, Steve Anderson; sister, Mary John and her husband Billy Joe Stasey.
