Ora Lee Leeth

Ora Lee Weatherly Leeth was born 10/25/31 in Gainesville, Tx to Garland C. Weatherly and Anna Lou Anderson Weatherly.  She is survived by a son, James David Leeth and daughter, Cindy Leeth Dinneen (partner, Keith Todd),  brother-in-law, Tom Leeth (wife Ruth), nephews (Ward (wife Bonnie), Mike and Mark McCain (wife Sharon), Greg (wife Karol) and Andrew Leeth(wife Heather)) and nieces (Ann Bennett, Tracey Mori (husband, Jay), and Teresa Leeth) step granddaughter, Jennifer Rankin  (husband Alan) and step grandson, Nathan Dinneen (wife, Christine) and 7 great grandchildren (who affectionately named her GG).  She is preceded in death by her husband, James Charles Leeth and other family members.

Ora Lee was a graduate from Gainesville High School, The University of North Texas (B. A. Education) and Tarleton State University (M. A. Education).

Ora Lee was a lifelong teacher, with 36 years of public-school teaching primarily in Fort Worth ISD and Stephenville ISD.  After she retired from classroom teaching in 1990, she supervised student teachers for Tarleton State University and served 13 years as a Stephenville ISD school board member and in leadership positions in several local and state professional teacher organizations.

She was a long-time member of Stephenville United Methodist Church, loved singing and travel, and was an avid reader.

Services are planned for Saturday, November 2 at Stephenville United Methodist Church, 422 W. Washington, Stephenville, TX  76401.  Visitation begins at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Graveside service at Hico City Cemetery on Hwy 6, Hico, TX.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Stephenville Education Foundation, 2655 Overhill Drive., Stephenville, TX  76401, Delta Kappa Gamma Zeta Scholarship Fund, 269 County Road 560, Stephenville, TX  76401 or the charity of your choice.
