Ola Mae Brock, 89, of Stephenville, passed away August 12, 2014 in McKinney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 16th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Curt Plaxco officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Ola Mae was born on November 7, 1924 in Garland, Texas to the late Les and Molly Thompson Justiss. She married W. A. Jake Brock on August 8, 1942 in Lubbock. Her husband of 70 years preceded her in death on December 27, 2012. Ola Mae and Jake moved to Erath County in 1947 to work on the Brock Dairy. In 1965 they moved into Stephenville when Jake opened Jakes Automotive Repair Shop. Ola Mae worked over twenty years as a seamstress at Dublin Sewing Factory, until she retired. She then spent the next twenty years keeping children in her home until her husband became ill. Ola Mae was a Lifetime member of the Stephenville Church of the Nazarene, serving the church as Missionary President, Sunday school teacher, and volunteer nursery attendant. She and Jake were awarded the Church's Distinguished Service Award for their faithfulness and dedication to the church. Survivors include her daughters, Donna and husband Harvey Spross of Waco, Diana and husband Mike Stasey of McKinney; sons, Dale and wife Mary Jo Brock of Alvarado, Dwain and wife Lynne Brock of Lampasas; sister, Vera and husband Don Smyth of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Ola Mae was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Allen Chandler Brock and Tana Spross Heckel; and by six sisters and one brother. The Brock family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Church of the Nazarene in Stephenville.
