O'Farrell "Pal" Thompson, 78, of Stephenville and Granbury, went to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 3, 2012 with his family at his side. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Raymond Plaster officiating. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Pal was born on January 19, 1934 in Walnut Springs, Texas to the late Henry D. and Lillian Cox Thompson. He was raised and attended school in Tolar, Texas where he developed his love for sports. As a young man, Pal began working on pipelines where he became a Pipeliner/Welder and traveled all around the world. While working in New Mexico, he met and married the love of his life, Myrna Marlene Armstrong on September 26, 1957 in Aztec, NM where they settled down and began their family. In 1975, The "Thompson" family moved to Stephenville where all of his children graduated. In 1995, Pal founded a very successful business, Pal-Con LTD, located now in Stephenville. For the past 15 years, he was a rancher in Bluff Dale and Tolar. Pal was a member of the Pipe liners Local # 798 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and a member of the Church of God in Granbury. He was adored and loved by many, and will be truly missed. Pallbearers will be, Tanner Thompson, Justin Mund, Jerod Mund, Jock Mund, Cutter Thompson and Tayler Thompson. Honorary pallbearers are, Tashli Wilson and Casi Thompson. Pal is survived by his wife Myrna Thompson; daughters, Tamela Mund and husband Dr. Arthur Mund of Tolar, and Candiss Thompson of Granbury; son, Randy Thompson and wife Renee' of Stephenville; brother Darrell "Doug" Thompson and wife Pat of Stephenville; Grandchildren, Dr. Justin Mund and wife Stacey of Ft. Worth, Cutter Thompson and wife Heather of Granbury, Jerod Mund and wife Mary of Ft. Worth, Casi Thompson of Granbury, Jock Mund of Germany, Tanner Thompson and wife Amanda of Bluff Dale, Tayler Thompson of Ft. Worth, Tashli Wilson and husband Jason of Stephenville; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Cade, Cutter, Edge, Cain, Cruz, Karahli, Slayter, Kodi, Ever, Ali, and Khyson; nephew, Michael Thompson of Stephenville; nieces, Debbie Welborn of McKinney, Pam Sheahan of Yuba City, CA, and Leah Scoggins of Dallas; He was also preceded in death by a brother, H.D.
