Odessa Wood Lawson

Odessa Wood Lawson 97, of Stephenville, died Monday, September 15, 2008, at Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, at Stephenville Funeral Home with Brother Earl Baugh officiating. Burial will follow at Pilot Knob Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home Odessa was born January 31, 1911, in Stephenville to the late Tom and Fate McDowell Knapp. Odessa was a member of the Washington Street Baptist Church, and was a life long resident of Stephenville. She was a homemaker and worked several years in the kitchen at Stephenville Hospital. Odessa was preceded in death by her two husbands Olen Wood in 1971 and Otho Lawson in 1979. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rowena and Jeral Jackson of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Jeff and wife Debbie Jackson, Byron and wife Carol Jackson, and Dwayne and wife Lisa Jackson; great grandchildren, Jill and husband Johnathan Leonhart, Sarah and husband Jody Wilson, Matt and wife Leah Jackson, Brenna Jackson, Laura and husband Ryan Hairston, Chris Jackson, Aaron Jackson, and Amanda Jackson; great great grandchildren, Mia Wilson, Eisley Wilson, Hadley Hairston, Addison Leonhart, and Bailey Leonhart.
