Odelia (Pack) Goodwin

Odelia Pack Goodwin, 93, passed away on November 1, 2022, in Stephenville.

Funeral services for Odelia will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 8th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Weldon Branham officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Visitation with the Goodwin family will begin, before services, at 10:00 AM Tuesday.

Odelia was born in Erath County on May 5, 1929, to the late Thomas James and Mary Elizabeth Watson Pack.  She married Joe Clyde Goodwin in Fort Worth on August 7, 1948.  He preceded her in death in March of 1989.  Together they had five children. Odelia was a longtime resident of Stephenville, and a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ.

Odelia worked many jobs to support her family.  One was at Tarleton State University.  While working there she got her teaching degree.  She taught at Coolidge, and also at Hico.

Odelia is survived by three children; Kimmy and husband Larry McGee, Tommy and wife Janey Goodwin, and Dell and wife Rebecca Goodwin.  She also has twelve grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren.

Odelia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, O’Donald and Shirley; sisters, Mary Geneva Goodman and Agnes Ledbetter; son, Johnny Goodwin and daughter, Denise Perkins.  Also, by several half-brothers and half-sisters.

The Goodwin family request expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donation to Foster’s Home for Children in Stephenville, or Turner Syndrome Society.
