Norman Wayne Howell

Norman Wayne Howell, 72, of Weatherford, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 in Weatherford. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel in Stephenville with David Chandler and Curtis Tucker officiating. Burial will follow at Huckabay Cemetery in Huckabay. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Norman was born November 9, 1938 in Ranger, Texas to LaJaun Matthews and the late G. W. Howell. He married Lou Ann Stephens on June 3, 1960 in Stephenville. Norman was a member of the Good News Revival Church in Weatherford, and had served his country in the U. S. Air Force. He has lived the past 25 years in Weatherford, moving there from Granbury. Norman was a truck driver. Norman is survived by his wife, Lou Ann of Weatherford; son, Ricky Wayne Howell, Sr. of Weatherford; daughters, Debra Lynn Childers of Granbury, Tammy Loraine and husband Teddy White of Millsap; mother, LaJaun Howell of Fort Worth; sisters, Dorothy and husband J. B. Surratt of Crowley, Joyce and husband Jim Stoker of Longview; eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Norman was preceded in death by his father, G. W. Howell; and by two brothers, Fred Howell and Larry Don Howell Family wishes that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
