Norman Eugene Carter

Stephenville Norman Carter January 30, 1943-Sept. 20, 2015 Norman Eugene Carter, 72, of Stephenville passed away September 20, 2015 in Stephenville. Memorial service will be held 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Cowboy Church of Erath County with Brother Werth Mayes officiating. Norman was born on January 30, 1943 in Glendale, California to Arnold and Lorie Carter. He married Claudia Holloway on Feb. 4, 2006 in Old Towne Orange, California. Norman and Claudia moved to Stephenville, Texas in August 2011 to be near children and grandchildren and they soon realized they both wished they had been born and raised here. He was a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. Some called him "Normie" or "Buddy" but all called him a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed. Norman is survived by his wife, Claudia; son, Christopher Carter; daughters by marriage, Jill Delaney and husband Ray; Kelleigh Averill and husband Bill; grandchildren, Micah Carter, Patrick, Aidan, Eamonn and Fiona Delaney; Shawn, Ezra, Luke and Ella Averill; several cousins, wonderful friends, his brother in Christ, Werth Mayes and his beloved Cowboy Church family.
