Nita O. Basham

Nita O. Basham, 93, of Stephenville died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in Irving. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Bennie Basham officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery Nita was born on February 3, 1918 in Randlet, Oklahoma. She married Eugene Basham, October 1, 1941, and he preceded her in death January 10, 2002. She was a member of the Methodist Church, and worked several years in the Erath County Tax Office. She has lived in Stephenville since 1952. Survivors include her son, Jerry Basham of Irving; step-son, Bennie and his wife Pat Basham of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Tracy, Ivan, Kevin, Penny, and Carrie; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Sarah, Morgan, Keely, and Bryli. Nita was also preceded in death by a son, Dannie Basham in 2003. Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the First United Methodist Church.
