Nicha Jolene (Young) Cox

Stephenville Nicha Jolene Cox (Young), 34, formerly of Stephenville, died Saturday, February 27, 2010, in Coryell County, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Willie Clark and Jeff Andis officiating. Burial to follow at Duffau Cemetery in Erath County. Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Nicha was born January 14, 1976 in Dublin to Larry Joe and Ann Penland Young. She married Ralph Cox on July 21, 2001 in Gatesville. Nicha was a member of Sweethome Baptist Church in Gatesville. She had resided in Gatesville for the past ten years, where she worked at Walmart Photo Center. Nicha was raised in Stephenville and Hico. Survivors include her husband Ralph of Gatesville; daughter, Charleigh; step-son, Tyler; mother, Ann Attebury and husband Daniel of Minnesota; two sisters, Meranda Longoria and husband Roel of Seagraves; Brittany Jernigan and husband Kevin of Corsicana; brother, Michael Simpson of Hamilton; grandmothers, Charlene Young of Selden; Dorothy Penland of Lufkin; several nieces, nephews and many friends at Walmart in Gatesville. She was preceded in death by her father Larry Joe Young and two grandfathers, Joe Young and Bill Penland.
