Nena (Moon) Gilbreath

Nena Gilbreath, 53, passed away on January 30, 2024 in Houston.

Visitation: Wednesday the 7th @5pm-8pm at Stephenville Funeral Home

Celebration of Life: Thursday the 8th @12:30 pm at Stephenville Funeral Home

Burial: will follow at Desdemona Cemetery

Nena was born on June 26, 1970 in Dublin to Marvin Dale and Betty Sue Fonville Moon. Nena went to school in Lingleville where she graduated valedictorian. Then, she attended Tarleton State University to become a medical technologist. She graduated college with honors in August 1992.  She married Andy Gilbreath shortly after on September 26, 1992 in Stephenville.  Nena was a hard worker, great Mom and Grandmother. Nena worked many jobs including being a medical technologist. Then, she and Andy started and ran the family tire business together. She was a lifelong resident of Erath County. Nena loved helping others, fishing, dancing, karate and spending time with her family and friends.

Nena is survived by her husband, Andy; son Hayden and his wife Paige; daughter, Lexi and her husband Austin; parents, Marvin and Betty Moon; sister Shayne and her husband Jay; Father in-law Joe Gilbreath; Brother in-law Mac and his wife Melissa; granddaughter, Coralee; and grandson, Cooper; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Nena was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Martha Jane Gilbreath.

The Gilbreath family wish expressions of sympathy to be made in the form of donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Cancer Research.
