Myrtle Morgan Ridens

Myrtle Morgan Ridens, 76, of Stephenville, died Sunday, May 31, 2009, in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at the Cowboy Church with Werth Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville.Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Myrtle was born, September 17, 1932, in Nashville, AR to the late Dana Alexander and Tresser Ann Whitney Morgan. She married James Henry Ridens on June 1, 1953 in Roswell NM. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1984. Myrtle was a member of the Cowboy Church and the Eastern Star. She had resided in Stephenville since 1999. She was a retired Comptroller for a Jewelry store chain. Myrtle is survived by a daughter Sharon Sparks and husband Lee of Sutherlin, OR; sisters, Sue Foster of Stephenville; Lou Martin and husband Kelly of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Kambri Staats McDonald; Rijn Neal Staats; nieces; Sue Fox; Lynn Foster; Sherry Fischer and husband Roy; seven great-grandchildren in Portland, OR. and ten great-nieces and nephews. Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Cowboy Church Building Fund or the Foster's Home for Children.
