Millie Swindle

Millie Swindle, 90, of Stephenville, died Sunday, June 15, 2014 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 18th at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Weldon Branham officiating. Interment will follow at West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The visitation will be Tuesday 6:00 - 8:00 at Stephenville Funeral Home. Millie was born on June 1, 1924 in Ashtabula, Ohio to the late John and Anna Drahos. She married Dr. William C. Swindle on July 27, 1946 in Bryan, Texas. Millie worked in the U.S. Navy as a civilian with the Bureau of Supplies and Accounts for several years in Cleveland, Ohio. Later, she spent her time as a housewife and mom. Millie is survived by her husband of nearly 68 years, Dr. William C. Swindle of Stephenville; sons, Dale Swindle of Stephenville, Allan Swindle and wife Arlene of New Braunfels; grandsons, John (Cason) Swindle of Plano, Chris Swindle of Las Vegas, NV; great-grandson, Chase Pardee of Lawrence, KS; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her three brothers.
