Mildred Mae Willis Mckinney

Mildred Mae Willis McKinney, 79, of Stephenville, died Monday, September 5, 2011 in Stephenville Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dale Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Mildred was born December 7, 1931 in California to the late Tom Henry and Mary Marie Bagwell Willis. At the age of two Mildred's mother died, and she was raised by Lee and Bessie Driskill both of whom have also preceded her in death. Mildred married Travis McKinney on December 28, 1946 in Stephenville. She was a member of Harvey Baptist Church, very active in the Cross Timbers Country Opry, and was a life long resident of Stephenville. Mildred was a homemaker. Mildred is survived by her husband, Travis; sons, Ronnie and wife Brenda McKinney of Stephenville, and Dale and wife Marla McKinney of Stephenville; brother, V. J. Willis of Utah; grandchildren, Brandon, Travis and wife Kimberly, Jason McKinney and wife Kristi, and Kayla McKinney Bloch and husband, Dustin; great grandchildren, Carson, Camden, Kallyn, and Jayden McKinney, and Kelsey Bloch. Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the West Texas Rehab Center in Abilene.
