Mildred Sanders Kennedy

Mildred Sanders Kennedy, 89, of Stephenville, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in Burleson. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Holston officiating. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Mildred was born on October 31, 1922 in Duffau, Texas to the late Horace and Beulah Roach Sanders. She married Elmo Ernest Kennedy on June 8, 1946 in Stephenville and he preceded her in death on March 9, 1995. Mildred has resided in Stephenville since 1945 and was a member of the Oak Dale Methodist Church. She worked for L & L Manufacturing as a seamstress for 26 years and also worked for Perry's Department Store. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Wade Walker, Ryan Kennedy, Gray Sanders, and Kelly Sanders. She is survived by son, Bobby Kennedy and wife Janet of Crowley; daughter, Judy Sanders and husband Cliff of Midland; grandsons, Wade Walker, Ryan Kennedy, Gray Sanders, and Kelly Sanders; great-grandchildren, Mark, Mason, Stephen, Preston, Caroline, Timothy, and Kevin; and a great-niece, Jessica Muncey
