Mike G. Pallanez, 81, of Stephenville, died Sunday, June 6, 2021, in Stephenville.
Funeral services for Mike will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 12th at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church followed by burial service at East End Memorial Cemetery. Rosary services will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, June 11th at Stephenville Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, one hour prior to the Rosary.
Mike was born on March 14, 1940, to the late Juan and Cruz Pallanez in Ballinger, Texas. Mike retired as business owner of a water trucking road construction company. He was a faithful member at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church, and has spent the past 51 years in Stephenville. Mike loved the Dallas Cowboys, and watching western classic movies. He was a devoted family man who loved and supported his family. He will be missed by many many friends.
Mike is survived by his children, Michael and wife Dina Pallanez of Austin, Sarah Bates of Dallas, Leroy and wife Elena Pallanez of Round Rock, Corrine and husband Curtis Eaton of Stephenville, and Elizabeth and husband Manny Gomez of Plainfield, Indiana; grandchildren, Christopher and wife Sandra Carlton, Steven Curtis, Blake and wife Billie Curtis, Jeffrey Curtis and partner Casey, Dustin and wife Magen Pallanez, Balther Pallanez and partner Diana, Daniel Casillas, Sonya and husband Sean Robbins, Brandon Gomez, Tommy Pallanez, Athina Pallanez, Kallista Pallanez, Duke Pallanez, and Hera Pallanez; great grandchildren, Layne McLemore, Zuko Pallanez, Logan Curtis, Gabriella Carlton, Lane Curtis, Aliyah Casillas, Daniel Jr. Casillas, and Jeremiah Casillas; sisters, Fay Medrano of Ballinger, and Josie Cortez of Hobbs, NM; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family; and his beloved dogs, Marley and Bob.
Mike also loved his extended family, those who underwent Dialysis treatment with him.
Besides his parents, Mike was also preceded in death by his wife, Rose; sister, Gloria Zertuche; and many of his beloved family.
The Pallanez family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to St. Jude’s Children Hospital and Wounded Warriors.
