Michael Smith

Michael Smith 54, of Stephenville, died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel, with Ray Perryman officiating; assisted by Charles Higgs. Michael was born May 22, 1953 in Fort Worth to the late Ray W. and Julie Morreau Smith. He married Lana Wise on November 2, 1991, in Granbury. He was a member of Cowboy Church and a resident of Stephenville for the past 15 years moving here from Joshua. Michael was a 1971 graduate of Keller High School. He was a Cattle Hauler, a welder and a Heavy Equipment Operator. Survivors include his wife, Lana Smith of Stephenville; Children, Christina and husband Steve Ratliff of Austin; Nicole Bason and fiancée Ron Roye of Cleburne; Michael Wood of Las Cruces, NM; Miley Smith of Joshua and Ashley Chipman of Austin. Grandchildren, Summer Bason; Hunter Bason and Kayla Bason all of Cleburne. Brother, Paul Smith of Fort Worth; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Jack Shattuck of Fort Worth; step-brother, Gary Watson of Lake Fork.
