Michael Shane Parks

Michael Shane Parks, 46, passed away too soon, on July 9, 2024. He was born on May 21, 1978, to Robbie Dale and Cassandra (Stalecup) Parks, in Hale Center, Texas. He was raised in Lingleville, Texas, where he graduated from high school. Upon graduating, Michael went on to further his education. He received his associate degree through Weatherford. He worked countless hours to provide for his family, he loved his children fiercely. He married Summer Allen on August 11, 2016, in Lingleville, Texas. Michael had a kind soul and a tender heart and would do anything for anyone in need. He was an avid outdoorsman and greatly enjoyed hunting. His passion was archery and going to shooting competitions. He adored his archery family. He was also a skilled craftsman and could build anything from wood or metal. While growing up, Michael, his brother, and their cousins were inseparable, he loved them dearly. One of the greatest things about Michael was that he was always smiling and loved to make others laugh.

Michael is survived by his wife, Summer Parks of Stephenville, his son, Jacob Jackson Parks of Stephenville, his daughter, Laramie Bella Parks of Stephenville, his father, Robbie Dale Parks and his wife, Deborah of Lingleville, his brother, Deric Ray Parks and his wife, Tonya of Stephenville, as well as his sister, Rebecca Ann Parks of Oklahoma City.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Cassandra Parks.

A memorial service will be held in Michael’s honor on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 2:00 P.M., at Lingleville Baptist Church in Lingleville, Texas.
