Michael Henry McFarland, 57, of Stephenville passed away, on Thursday, July 23, 2020 in Stephenville.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Sunday, August 9th, at the Field of Honor at West End Cemetery in Stephenville.
Michael was born on May 29, 1963 in McAllen, Texas to the late Malcolm Henry and Marcia Faye Pittman McFarland. He married Cynthia Dawn Martin on December 19, 2005 in Stephenville.
Michael was a US Army Veteran. He spent his active duty in Fort Campbell, KY with the 101st Airborne Division where he served a tour in Egypt with the Multinational Force and Observers, and finished his service with The National Guard based out of Fort Hood, TX. He worked in heating and air conditioning, which he specialized in during his military service, and has lived several years in Dublin and Stephenville.
He was very passionate about his beloved dogs, Tobby and Scotty, 80's Rock, and furthering his education, completing an Associates Degree with Tarrant County College, and was prepared to begin his senior year at Tarleton State University.
Michael is survived by his wife, Cynthia; three children from his first marriage, sons, Sean and wife Kimberly McFarland of Denton; Ryan McFarland of Houston; daughter, Ashley McFarland of Dublin; grandchildren, Hunter and Chloe McFarland; sisters, Marsha Kelly of Mineral Wells, Anita and husband Robert Armstrong of Stephenville, and Laurie Hamby of Stephenville.
Besides his parents, Michael was also preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie McFarland.
