Michael Joseph Gaffney

A memorial service will be held at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville, TX on October 14, 2023 at 2:30 PM for Cecil “Don” Stone and Michael Joseph Gaffney.  A reception will follow at 2080 West Overhill Drive.  If it happens to rain that day, the service and reception will both be held at 2:30 PM at 2080 West Overhill.

Don is survived by his sister Brenda Isherwood and her husband Jay, niece Denise Lowe and her partner Velinda Sloan, nephew Randall Carr and wife Tami, nephew Dayemond and wife Pat, and many beloved cousins and friends.

Michael is survived by his sister Margaret Gaffney and many nephews and nieces.

Both were admirers of the arts and world travelers.  San Francisco suited them, and they lived there for many years.  They made a number of strong bonds and friendships there which continued even after they retired to the Stone farm north of Stephenville. In their later years they moved to Georgetown, Texas to be closer to Don’s sister.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stephenville Foster Home, Stephenville Animal Shelter, or the charity of your choice.
