Medenia Cantrell Pryor, 78, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008 in Crowley. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at the Morgan Mill Cemetery in Morgan Mill, Texas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm prior to the funeral service. Medenia was born on September 30, 1929 in Morgan Mill, Texas to the late Lewis and Lena Armstrong Cantrell. She married Tyler Wayne Pryor on June 28, 1947 in Stephenville and he preceded her in death on December 4, 2007. Medenia has resided in Fort Worth for the past 18 years after living most of her life in Morgan Mill. She was a longtime member of the Western Hills Baptist Church. She retired from Western Hills High School. Medenia enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. Medenia is survived by sons, Wesley Wayne Pryor and wife Diane of Ft. Worth, Luther Lynn Pryor and wife Maggie of Crowley, and Bobby Ben Pryor of Ft. Worth; daughter, Jimmie Jerene Hernandez and husband Danny of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Dee Dee and Gene Mathis, Laura and Steven Lane, J.J. and Carri Pryor, David and Erica Hernandez, Sara Pryor, Joe Hernandes, and Chandra Pryor, Tony Pryor, and Tessa Pryor; nine great-grandchildren; sister Wanda Earp of Ft. Worth; sister-in-law, Leta Compton and husband Ken of Patillo. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tyler Wayne Pryor, a sister, Orlene Laughlin; and brothers, Odell and Luther Cantrell. Memorials may be made in her honor to Western Hills Baptist Church, or to the Morgan Mill Community Center.
