Max G. Chambers

Max G. Chambers, 76, of Stephenville died Sunday, May 10, 2015 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 13th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Stacy officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, at Stephenville Funeral Home. Max was born on March 10, 1939 in Erath County to the late L B and Kathleen Howard Chambers. He married Mattie Lou Melton on August 24, 1957 in Stephenville. Max was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a truck driver, and a car salesman for eleven years. Survivors include his wife, Mattie; son, Brent Chambers of Stephenville; daughter, Angela and husband Randell Joiner of Dublin; step-mother, Naomi Chambers of San Antonio; grandchildren, Rheagan Lynch, Mayci and husband Cody Johnston, Hillari and husband Karlton Keesee, Lane Chambers, Courtney Keating, and Hailey Keating; great grandchildren, Rowdy Johnston, Ciara Johnston, Kynnedi Johnston, and Kinsler Johnston; and several nieces and nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Max was also preceded in death by a brother, R. Lynn Chambers.
