Max L. Brock, 90, of Stephenville passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 in Stephenville Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 15th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Holston officiating. Burial will follow at Lingleville East End Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Max was born on July 3, 1921 in Desdemona to the late Ceaf and Lela Lee Stokes Brock. He married Mary Margie Wilcoxon on October 12, 1941 in the Bunyan Community. She preceded him in death February 15, 1991. Max worked over 30 years with Erath Egg Farm, and five years at Cooks Lumber Yard. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and playing dominoes. He was known as the ‘one arm' pitcher in the 1950's. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Judy Brock of Stephenville; granddaughters, Tracie Riggs of Stephenville and Kaymee and husband Mike Wood of Spring; great grandchildren, Liberty Riggs, Hudson Wood, Grant Wood and Lorali Wood; nephew, Kent Brock, nieces, Cathy Holden, Dana Relyea, and Alison DeLong. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Phil Brock and a sister-in-law, Margaret Brock Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Alzheimers Research.
