Mattie Irene Davis

Mattie Irene Davis, 83, of Stephenville, formerly of Llano died Monday, December 01, 2008 in a Stephenville nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, December 3rd at Llano Cemetery in Llano, with Kenneth Beavers officiating. Services are under the direction of Stephenville Funeral Home in Stephenville. Mrs. Davis was born February 14, 1925 in Lampasas to the late Oscar and Zelma Klose Bumpas, Sr. She was married to Sam Davis who preceded her in death in 1999. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Baptist Church, and was a hospital and nursing home cook. Survivors include three daughters and son-in-laws, Peggy and Kenneth Sharp of Highland, Illinois, Sandra and Kenneth Beavers of Stephenville, and Pamela and Richard Grindle of Cleburne; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Oscar Bumpas, Jr.
