Mattie Lou Chambers October 8, 1940-December 7, 2016 Mattie Lou Chambers, 76, of Stephenville, passed away Wednesday, December 07, 2016 in Stephenville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 10th, 2016 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Mattie was born on October 8, 1940 in Stephenville to the late Gordon and May Driskell Melton. She married the love of her life, Max Chambers on August 21, 1957 in Stephenville and together they had two children. Max preceded her in death on May 10, 2015. Mattie was an LVN and a lifelong resident of Stephenville. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Brent Chambers and wife Lisa of Dublin; daughter, Angelia Joiner and husband Randell of Dublin; step-mother-in-law, Naomi Chambers of San Antonio; grandchildren, Rheagan Lynch, Mayci Johnston and husband Cody, Hillari Keesee, and husband Karlton, and Lane Chambers; great grandchildren, Rowdy Johnston, Ciara Johnston, Kynnedi Johnston, Kinsler Johnston and Kaebri Keesee; and several nieces and nephews and cousins. Mattie was also preceded in death by her sister, Jimmie Collier; and brother, Herschel Melton.
