She graduated from Gordon High School and later married Nelson Wylie on December 6, 1947 in Ranger, Texas; he preceded her in death on March 1, 1998. They had one child, Diana Kay. Frances spent many happy years as a mother, grandmother, homemaker, and a "cafeteria lady" in the Huckabay School. She enjoyed simple country cooking and working puzzles. Frances had friends of all ages and especially loved her weekly 42 group and taking road trips with her special "108 Gals", who lovingly dubbed her "Queen." Frances was a lifelong resident of Erath County and a devoted member of the Huckabay Church of Christ. Frances is survived by her sister, Lily Blue; son-in-law, Keith Kellar and wife Polly; grandsons, Joshua and Justin; great-grandson, JAK; two special caregiver nieces, Kelli Dooley and Alicia Pugh; nephew, Richard Blue; many other nieces and nephews; plus a host of friends who will miss her tremendously. In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by her only daughter, Diana Kay; sister, Annie; and her brother, Tommy. The family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Foster's Home for Children, P.O. Box 978, Stephenville, Texas 76401.
