Mary John (Anderson) Stasey

Mary John Stasey December 18, 1925-January 15, 2016 Mary John Stasey, 90, of Chalk Mountain died Friday, January 15, 2016 in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, January 18th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Anderson and Joe Gaither officiating. Burial will follow at Chalk Mountain Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Mary John was born on December 18, 1925 in Erath County to the late John Franklin and Mary Jane Bordner Anderson. She married Billie Joe "B. J." Stasey on July 19, 1942 in Chalk Mountain. B. J. preceded her in death on October 10, 2013, sharing 71 years of married life together. Mary John was a lifetime member of the Plainview church, and was a dedicated wife and mother. Mary John is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo and husband Erik Logan of The Colony; sons, Michael J. and wife Diana Stasey of McKinney, Gary and wife Lynn Stasey of Stephenville, and Kent and wife Mary Beth Stasey of Aledo; grandchildren, Candy Benge, Penny Stevens, Monti Jeven Stasey, Mendy Janae Newton, Christopher Stasey, Chad Stasey, Chance Stasey, Tanner Stasey, and Samantha Jo Stasey; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; brother, Paul Bordner Anderson; and several nieces and nephews. Mary John was also preceded in death by a brother, Steve Anderson. The Stasey family wishes expression of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Fosters Home for Children, P. O. Box 978, Stephenville, Texas 76401.
