Mary Lois Linne

April 14, 1914 — March 18, 2009

Mary Lois Webb Linne of Greens Creek Community (Dublin), passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009 a few days short of her 95th birthday. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 23rd at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Konz officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Mary was born April 14, 1914 in Cone, Texas to the late Sam Houston Arthur and Minnie Edna Gore Webb. She married Aubrey H. Linne while living in Midland before following his Hughes Tool career through Texas, Illinois, and New Mexico. She had a challenging childhood but managed to graduate from El Paso High School and earned her R. N. Degree at Hotel Dieu in El Paso. She spent most of her adult life nursing in hospitals, for private practices, in schools, and in public health; as the family lived in Kermit, Hobbs, NM, Andrews and Dublin. Mary Lois was known and loved my many as she dedicated her life to her family and those in her care. There were many occasions when a child at school didn't have warm clothes, and was warmed by her providing a coat or clothes for the child (and possibly other children in the family). She was always tuned into the emotional needs of those in her care as well as her family. There may not still be an effective manual for parenting or grand parenting, but she would have been able to provide the basic information for both as she was loved by all family members because of being the perfect mom and grandmother. She spent most of her life as a faithful member of the Lutheran church, and has earned a really special place in Heaven because of the caring life she lived. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Aubrey and Gigi Linne of Midland, and John and Sandy Linne of Dublin; seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. It would be impossible to count the number of friends or the babies she helped to deliver over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, and three brothers.
