Mary Frances (Anders) Hooks

Mary Frances Hooks, 83, of Stephenville, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021 in Stephenville.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Stephenville Funeral Home.

Mary was born on March 22, 1938, in Proctor, Comanche County, to the late Charles (Doc) and Doretha Baugh Anders. She married Max Hooks on December 22, 1957, and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2016. She worked for many years at the Tarleton Farm and later retired as a housekeeper at Holiday Inn. She was a graduate of Dublin High School.

Survivors include her children, Debra Dameron and husband Clayton of Stephenville, Steven Hooks of Stephenville, Barbara LeJeune of Stephenville, and Judy Bradford of Stephenville; sisters, Dorothy Miller and Fay Craft’Rose; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Max; parents, Doc and Doretha Anders; sons, William Bryan Hooks, Johnny Hooks, and David Hooks; great-granddaughter, Alyssa LeJeune; and three brothers.
