Mary Nell (Huey) Alvarez

Mary Nell Alvarez, 81, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in Stephenville.

Mary was born on September 10, 1940, in Erath County to Kozzie Usco Huey, Sr.  and Myrtle McKenzie Huey.  She married Mike Alvarez on December 23, 1986 in Stephenville and he preceded her in death on May 29, 1998. Mary worked for Norton’s for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Cornerstone Assembly of God.

Survivors include her sister, Bobbie Boaz of Dallas, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Kozzie Usco Huey, Sr. and mother, Myrtle McKenzie Huey; husband, Mike Alvarez; sister, Sybil Marie Melchior; and brothers, Kossie Usco 'Babe' Huey Jr., Harlan Jay Huey, and Jackie Wayne Huey
