Marvin Henry Wyly

Marvin Henry Wyly, 85, passed away on July 16, 2024, in Azle, Texas. He was born on June 8,
1939, in Stephenville, Texas, to Lewis Judson and Verna Lee (Carey) Wyly. After graduating
from Stephenville High School, he went on to join the United States Army, to proudly do his duty
in serving our country. On 9-29-62 he married the love of his life, Margaret Elizabeth Schreier in
Selb, Germany, whom he was married to for 50 years before her passing. Marvin loved all
things outdoors, such as gardening, soccer, canoeing, hiking, and biking. He continued riding
his bike up to 20 miles a day even into his 80s.
Marvin is survived by his children, Michael Wyly, and Laura Chavez, his 8 grandchildren:
Michael Ryan Wyly, Xander Wyly, Cordelia Wyly, James Whitehorn III, Forrest Wyly, Samuel
Ambler, Ezekiel Ambler, and Isaiah Ambler, as well as one great-grandchild, Hannah Whitehorn.
Marvin is preceded in death by his sweetheart, Margaret Wyly, as well as both of his parents.
