Marshall Wiswell

Marshall Wiswell, 94, of Stephenville passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 in Stephenville. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Stephenville with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Marshall was born on August 28, 1917 in Munday, Texas to the late Rufus G. and Sallie Lee Wiswell. He married Lois Thompson on December 18, 1942 in Big Spring and she preceded him in death on January 7, 1992. Marshall has resided in Stephenville since 1980 after previously living in Stanton. He worked for Conoco for 36 years and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 63 years. He was a member of the Oak Dale United Methodist Church. Marshall is survived by his daughter, Marsha Ann Stephens and husband Dewayne; grandsons, Kyle Stephens and wife Mecca, and Kevin Stephens and wife Allisha; great-granddaughters, Sydney, and Summer; special nephew, Bill Thompson and wife Cookie all of Stephenville; and his Oakwood Assisted Living family of 10 years.
