Mark Edwin Garner, 61, of Stephenville, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Stephenville Funeral Home.

Mark was born on June 20, 1959 in Austin, Texas to the late Edwin Garner and to Carolina Rodgers Herring. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Floyd on June 1, 1991 in Stephenville.

Mark was Manager of Utility and Energy Services and the manager of building automation systems at Tarleton State University.

Survivors include his wife of almost 30 years, Carolyn Garner of Stephenville; daughters, Briana Larivee and husband Michael, and Elizabeth Barrientos and husband Gerry; step-daughter, Shawna Balder and husband Ronnie Curtis; grandchildren,  Cassiel, Michael and Hazel, Angelina, Scarlet and Tristan, Allison and Cassidy and Dalton, Dakota, Cadence and Camryn; mother, Carolina Herring; step-mother, Cheryl Garner; brothers, David Garner, Kevin Garner and Christopher Garner; and many aunts, uncles, cousins.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Patrice Odom-Smith; father, Edwin Garner; and step-father, Chuck Herring.
