Marjorie Carson Tharp

Marjorie Carson Tharp, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in Granbury while under hospice care. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Marjorie was born July 7, 1933 to the late William C. and Ollie Mae Carson in Wise County, Texas. She married Thomas J. Tharp in Fort Worth, May 10, 1960. They have resided in the Stephenville area for the past 25 years. She loved the country life, and her animals. She raised horses for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Billy Joe Carson and Walter N. Carson; and sister Mary Jane Carson. Survivors are her husband, Thomas J. Tharp; her son, Larry Z. Shelton; her brother, Jack A. Carson and his wife Mollie; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
