Marjorie Ramsay, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother was born in Chillicothe, Missouri on the 4th of July 1918. She nearly had her family believing that all the flags and celebration every year was for her. She not only loved her family but she loved her country as well. Marjorie died at home in Stephenville, Texas where she lived with her daughter Claudia and son-in-law Norman. Her granddaughter Jill Delaney was her faithful caregiver. During her last days, she was surrounded by loving family. She is survived by daughters Jacqueline Grace Michaelis and husband Armin, Claudia Holloway-Carter and husband Norman; her son, former Modoc County Sheriff, Mark Richard Gentry and wife Kim; grandchildren, Christine Beaton, Jill Delaney, Kelleigh Averill, Amber Gentry-Southard, Luke Gentry, Amy Gentry and Matt Gostin; Great grandchildren, Allegra and Bryce Beaton, Patrick, Aidan, Eamonn and Fiona Delaney, Shawn, Ezra, Luke and Ella Averill, Jack Southard and Milo Gostin. In her younger years Marjorie was an elementary teacher at Fox School in Brimson, MO. Her niece Linda Langley, whom she leaves behind, said that she was an amazing announcer for all the sports events. Marjorie spent her adult life in Southern California. After her three children were grown she volunteered many years of service to CHOC (Children's Hospital Orange County) where she cared for children with cancer. She received many awards of recognition and to the very last breath was still talking about all the children she has loved. Though the pain of loss reflects how deeply our hearts have loved and been loved in return we know that Marjorie is at peace with God. Her favorite Bible scripture was "Let not your heart be troubled" (John 14:1) Her ashes will be sprinkled on her mother's gravesite in Missouri in a private family gathering.
