Maria Campos

Maria Campos, 95, of Stephenville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 3, 2024.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Matthew Sanka and her nephew, Father Jorge Raygoza, officiating. Interment will follow at Hannibal Cemetery.
Rosary will be recited at 5:00pm Tuesday at the Stephenville Funeral Home, and Visitation with the family will be afterwards from 6 to 8pm.
Maria was born on January 7, 1929 to the late Juan Cruz and Antonia Romo Cruz in Aguascalientes, Mexico. She married Santos Campos on July 25, 1948 in Cieneguilla, Mexico and they were married for 65 years.
Maria is survived by 4 daughters, Teresa and husband Pedro Sanchez of Stephenville, Eva Perry of Stephenville, Raquel and husband Dennis Fulfer of Huckabay, and Emma and husband Julio Jimenez of Stephenville; 3 sons, Gary Campos of Stephenville, Celso Campos of Stephenville, and Alfonso Campos and wife Connie of Hannibal; brother, Juan Cruz; sister, Emma Cruz Gomez and husband Benjamin; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Santos Campos, in 2013, her oldest son, Rafael Campos, and her son-in-law, Bobby Gregg Perry, in 2006, and her great granddaughter, Nevaeh Maria Lopez, in 2020.
