Margaret (Brown) Ash

Margaret Ash, 86, of Stephenville passed from this life on Thursday, September 2, 2021. For the last two years she had been living in the home of her daughter, Cheryl McIntosh.

Margaret’s funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 7th, at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (one hour prior to her funeral services).

Margaret was born on March 27, 1935 in Alexander, TX, to the late Paschal and Mary Lucille Hanshew Brown. Margaret grew up in Duffau. She married P.D. Ash on June 28, 1953 in Duffau, TX. P.D. preceded her in death on February 28, 2016. They made their home in Stephenville, raising their family there. For many years managed the S & H Green Stamp store in Stephenville. She was a member of the Hillcrest church of Christ in Stephenville, where her husband P.D. served as an elder. Margaret was a lifetime resident of Erath County.

Survivors include her children, Jeffrey Dale and wife DeAnn Ash of Bowie, Wendall Leon Ash of Stephenville, and Cheryl Ann and husband Pat McIntosh of Cleburne; grandchildren, Phillip and wife Michelle McIntosh, Amanda McIntosh, Ashley McIntosh, Austin and wife Melissa Ash, Abby and husband Ethan Adams, and Eden Ash; great grandchildren, Lex McIntosh, Ivan McIntosh, Hudson Adams, and Weston Ash; brother, Harry and wife Carron of Hico.

Besides her parents and husband, P.D., Margaret was also preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Lee Naul.
