Marcile Allen, 92, passed away Monday, January, 24, 2025, after a lengthy battle with Parkinsons Disease. She was born on October 3, 1932, in Dublin, TX, to Thomas Jeff and Katherine (Richey) Sparks. She married Aubrey Allen, February 19, 1949 in Stephenville.
She was a member of Morgan Mill Baptist Church and considered that her home church even though she no longer lived in Morgan Mill.
Mrs. Allen, a hardworking and determined woman, lived a life defined by resilience, dedication, and a deep connection to the land. Growing up during the Great Depression, she learned the value of hard work and saving, traits that shaped her entire life.
Early in their marriage, Mrs. Allen and her husband, Aubrey, worked side by side raising peanuts, building a foundation of teamwork and perseverance. Over the years, she balanced various roles with grace and skill—managing rental properties, running her own beauty shop, and ultimately dedicating herself to her greatest love: cattle and farming.
Mrs. Allen was rarely idle. Whether driving her golf cart to oversee hay baling or checking on livestock, she was always engaged in the work she cherished. Her sharp wit and strong opinions were a hallmark of her character, leaving an indelible impression on those around her.
An avid gardener, Mrs. Allen found joy each spring in planting a vegetable garden and selecting new trees to nurture. Her love for the outdoors never waned, even as Parkinson’s disease began to limit her ability to pursue these passions. Her longing for the land and its rhythms remained steadfast, reflecting her indomitable spirit.
She leaves behind a legacy of determination, resourcefulness, and an enduring love for family and nature.
She was preceded in death by, her parents; her husband, Aubrey Allen; sister Velma Morgan, and brother T.J. Sparks, Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Kathy and husband Johnny Tate; a son, Danny and wife Judy Allen. Four grandsons: Robert and Rani Tate of League City; Bret and Mary Tate of Nairobi Kenya; Ryan and Kelly Tate of Colorado Springs; Craig and Shay Allen of Stephenville. Five great grandchildren: Bethany, Samuel, Riley, and Luke Tate, and Landry Allen. Two step granddaughters, Michele (Marten) Stoker and Amy (Ruurd) Stoker of Stephenville; step great grandchildren Blayne, Amanda, Jayden, and Colbe; and five step gr-great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Mae Pack and Earlene Faulkner as well as several cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Pall bears will be Robert Tate, Ryan Tate, Craig Allen, Marten Stoker, Ruurd Stoker, and Dan Scott.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at New Valley Grove Cemetery with Pastor Ed Dittfurth officiating.
