Marcia Faye Pittman Mcfarland

Marcia Faye Pittman McFarland, 69, died October 14, 2010, with her family by her side. She was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm on October 18, 2010 in the chapel at Stephenville Funeral Home, with Chaplain Mike Hannah, burial will follow at the Fairy Cemetery in Fairy, Texas. Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm on Sunday at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Marcia was born on July 11, 1941 to Rev. Clyde Pittman and Stella Faye Burden Pittman. She married Malcolm McFarland on September 1, 1962 in Yoakum, Texas. She was a retired nurse of 27 years with HMEC. She was a member and treasurer for the Erath County Genealogical Society. She was a Baptist and loved her Sunday Morning Gospel. She enjoyed researching her ancestory, antiques, singing, reading, and her family. She never met a stranger and could talk and tell stories for hours. Marcia is survived by her children, Anita and husband Robert Armstrong, Laurie Hamby, Michael and wife Cynthia McFarland, all of Stephenville. Marsha and husband Danny Kelly of Caldwell, Texas. She is also survived by her loving and faithful companion- Skeeter. Her grandchildren, Dennis Bullard, LeeAnne Bryant, Natasha Francis, Boots Wysong, Tristin Wysong Courville, Michael Hamilton, Samantha Armstrong, Sean McFarland, Ryan McFarland, Ashley McFarland, Robbie Kelly, and Lonnie Mack McFarland. Special grandchildren, Kimberly Walker, Kristy Phillips, Jennifer Wright, Bonnie McKeever, Jonathan Martin, and A.J. Martin. 12 great-grandchildren, one on the way and 5 special great-grandchildren. Her sister, Gloria Hess and 3 nephews all of Vacaville, California. Several family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister, Barbara Joyce Pittman, and a son, Lonnie McFarland. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society and the Erath County Genealogical Society. .
