Luella Trice

Luella Trice, 88, of Lingleville, died Saturday, December 17, 2011 in Lingleville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 21st at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Van Christian officiating. Interment will follow at Lingleville East End Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Luella was born on May 13, 1923 in Lingleville to the late Jake and Bonnie Christian Grantham. She married J. R. Trice on May 19, 1940 in Seminole. Luella was a member of the Lingleville Baptist Church, and was a lifelong resident of Lingleville. Luella loved her family and many friends, and spent much of her time sewing, fishing, quilting, attending musicals, and cooking. She was a professional seamstress. Survivors include her husband, J. R.; son, David and wife Carol Trice of Lingleville; daughter, Patsy and husband Jim Coats of Stephenville; grandsons, Brian Trice of Houma, LA and Jeff and wife Christi Trice of Charlestown, Indiana; great grandchildren, Brooke, Katelyn, Kirbi, and Owen; brother, C. F. ‘Buddy' and wife Louise Grantham of Granbury; sister, Gerdene and husband Gene Yauger of Littlefield; and brother-in-law, Carroll Parker of Graham. Luella was also preceded in death by a sister, Frances Parker. Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch and Girlstown, P. O.
