Lorna Elaine Prater

Lorna Elaine Prater, 102, of Stephenville, died Saturday, December 06, 2008, at the Oakwood Assisted Living Home in Stephenville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Emil V. Becker officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 10:00 AM to 12 Noon at Stephenville Funeral Home Lorna was born October 7, 1906 in Erath County, Texas to the late Charles Forrest and Elizabeth WilhiteYoung, and was one of nine children. She married Cecil Prater on December 7, 1929 in Stephenville. He preceded her in death in 1968. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, a homemaker, and had lived in Stephenville since 1968. She is survived by a son, Byron and his wife Doris of Houston, grandson, David Prater and wife Rachelle, and three great grandsons, Hunter, Connor, and Cole of Plano, Texas
