Lorene Ham

Nora Lorene Ham, 87, died July 14, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20th at 1:30 pm at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home. Burial: Johnson cemetery in Erath County. Nora Lorene Ham was born Nov 13, 1927 to Alfred and Nora (Mize) Lucke in Anson, TX. The family lived in that area until late 1937 when they moved to Erath County where Mr. Lucke went to work at the Fitzgerald Nursery. Lorene attended Lone Oak Schools and Alexander High School, and she attended Draughon Business School in Ft. Worth after graduating high school. Lorene married Samuel Ham on January 11, 1947 in Stephenville, TX. The couple moved to Southeastern NM in 1948 where they lived and raised their two boys, Ed and Owen. In 1985, they retired to Proctor, TX where they lived until Lorene moved with her son Ed and his wife to Rio Rancho, NM in the summer of 2013. She is survived by her son Ed and his wife Sharion of Rio Rancho, NM, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam in 2002, her son Owen in 2011, and her grandson Jason in 1990.
