Lonnie Byron Sparkman August 13, 1949 ~ October 7, 2017 Lonnie Byron Sparkman, 68, of Stephenville passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cowboy Church of Erath County in Stephenville. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery in Gustine, Texas. The Family will receive visitors on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Stephenville Funeral Home. Lonnie was born on August 13, 1949 in Ft. Worth, Texas, to the late Herman Byron Sparkman and Ola Cliftyn Terry Sparkman. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and worked as a mechanic after the service. Survivors include his children, Toby Sparkman and wife Nicole, and Shea Schafer and husband Brian of Eastland; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Haley and Bailee Johnson and Grayson and Braydon Sparkman; Brother Terry Sparkman and wife Donna of Morgan Mill, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
