Lois Thomas

Lois Thomas, 98 of Dallas, formerly of Stephenville was called to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Dallas Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, July 27th, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Gary Sult officiating. Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home. Lois was born in Turnersville, Texas, March 12, 1914 to Tom and Birdie Boone. She married Hal Thomas in 1935. He loved and admired her independent nature and strength of character. He felt that Lois could do all things. She fulfilled his faith and supported him in all endeavors until he preceded her in death in 1964. Following his death, she returned to Stephenville and became responsible for the school lunch programs in the Stephenville ISD for many years. Her joys in life were her church, family and friends. The most difficult days were losing her independence and out living so many loved ones. Lois is survived by her daughters, Jean Wismer and husband Gene, Betty Evans and her husband Van; 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 nephews, one niece, and others that knew and loved her. Lois was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph Boone and Harold Boone; and a granddaughter, Wendy Whitehead.
