Linda Sue (Beverly) Thiebaud

Linda Sue Beverly Thiebaud, 68, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, September 6, 2021 in her daughter’s home in Pine, CO surrounded by her family.

Linda was born on January 10, 1953 in Dublin, Texas to Rosalie Mitchell Beverly and Clyde Boyer Beverly.

Linda was a dedicated kindergarten teacher and school librarian for Lewisville Independent School District in Texas.  She was well respected and loved by her students and peers.  She was known to frequently dress up as book characters to engage her students and instill the love of reading.

Linda spent retirement traveling, embroidering quilts for her family, and spending time with her cherished grandbabies.  She loved finding and collecting special rocks with her grandchildren.

Linda also spent countless hours volunteering at the George W. Bush Presidential Center as a docent, Texas Bluebonnet Committee, and her church library.  She was a member of the DAR.  She loved researching family history and comparing notes with friends.

She is preceded in death by grandparents Albert and Alice Mitchell and her mother Rosalie Beverly.  She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Kristal and Tim Happel of Pine, CO, Kathryn and Clint Lee of Wylie, TX, and Sarah and JD Lawrence of Pine, CO; her grandchildren James Happel, Josh Happel, Jonathan Happel, Robert Lawrence, Alexis Lee, Haleigh Lawrence, Madison Lee and Abigail Lawrence; her siblings Sandra Burns, Judy Kennerly, and Robert Beverly; and her nieces and nephew.

The visitation for Linda will be held on Friday, September 17 at Stephenville Funeral Home from 5-7 pm and her Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, September 18 at the First Baptist Church of Stephenville, TX at 11:00 am. Masks will be required at the visitation and service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Texas Library Association Texas Bluebonnet Award Endowment Fund.
