Linda Scott Mcalister

Linda Scott McAlister, 73, of Stephenville, died Thursday, February 6, 2013, in San Antonio. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, at Stephenville Funeral Home with Reverend Howard Martin officiating, with burial to follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, 10:00 AM until 12 Noon at the funeral home. Linda was born on July 25, 1939 in Waurika, Oklahoma, to the late Woodrow Wilson Scott, Sr. and Eula Fay Clayton Scott. Linda served the Fort Worth ISD for five years as an administrative assistant for special programs. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Stephenville. Linda has lived in San Antonio for the past few years, 10 years in Crowell, and several years in Stephenville. Survivors include her daughter, Tracey L. McAlister of San Antonio; granddaughter, Lauren McAlister; and grandson, Tristan Caleb McAlister, both of San Antonio; sister, Edna Scott; and brother, Bland Scott both of Yukon, Oklahoma. Besides her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her husband, John E. McAlister in 2003; and by a brother, Woodrow Wilson Scott, Jr. The McAlister family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Mission Road Ministries, 8706 Mission Road, San Antonio, Texas 78214
