Lillie Mae Gordon

Lillie Mae Gordon, 78, of Stephenville died Friday, January 2, 2009 in Stephenville Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 5, 2009 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Murray officiating. Burial will follow at West End Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home Lillie Mae was born December 22, 1930, in Huckabay to the late W. S. and Nannie Slade Davis. She married Leon Gordon, November 6, 1948 in Stephenville. Lillie Mae was a member at First Baptist Church, served a number of years on the Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital Auxiliary, and she was a life long resident of Stephenville. She retired from Tarleton State University after 29 years as a staff accountant. Survivors include her husband, Leon; son, Rex Gordon and wife Cindy of Cincinnati, Ohio; son-in-law, Tom Lawton of Groves; brother, Billy Eugene Davis of Arlington; grandchildren, Bobby and wife Celeste Lawton, Laura and husband Ronnie Gee, Adam Gordon, and Marisa Gordon; great grandchildren, Jaxson Lawton and Alexander Lawton. Lillie Mae was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lorita Lawton. Family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
