Lillian Newcomer

Lillian Newcomer, 86, of Houston, formerly of Comanche County, died Sunday, May 6, 2012 in Houston. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Comanche Gardens of Memory in Comanche County, with Larry Newcomer officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Lillian was born on June 10, 1925 in Martin County, Texas to the late Jeff and Myrtle Pratt Nichols. She married Eddie Earl Newcomer on September 14, 1946 in Brownfield, Texas. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1984. Lillian was a member of Mills Road Baptist Church in Houston. She has resided in Harris County for 16 years. She also resided in DeLeon, Comanche County, Ackerly, and Martin County. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons: Larry and wife, Karen of Houston, TX; Eddie and wife Georgia of Lubbock, TX; one daughter, Kathy Blocker and husband, Euel of Stanton, TX; five grandchildren: Lucas Earl Newcomer of Houston, TX; Matthew Clay Blocker of Stanton, TX; Kyle Glen Newcomer and wife, Lindsay of Bryan, TX; Kara Louise Newcomer of Modesto, CA; and Andrew Walker, and wife, Amy of Frisco, TX; two great grandchildren, Thomas Jackson Newcomer and Ava Corrine Walker; one sister, Vivian Ann Barron, and husband Bill of Whitehouse, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
