Lila F. Walker

Lila F. Walker, 77, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011 at a local hospital. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Hannah officiating. Burial will be at Oak Dale cemetery in Erath County. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Stephenville Funeral Home. Lila was born on Nov. 2, 1933 in Dublin, Texas to the late Lewis and Louise Mull Mote. She married Thurman Walker on April 28, 1956 in Dublin. Lila was a member of Graham Street Church of Christ. She has resided in Stephenville since 1996 moving here from Fort Worth. She worked for SW Bell Telephone Co. in Dublin. Survivors: husband, Thurman (Stormy) Walker; children, Byron (Ace) Walker of Stephenville; Teresa Janell Palmer of Willow Park; David Scott Walker of Stephenville; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Ed Mote of Stephenville; sister, Neva Traweek of DeLeon. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Walker.
